Tribute to Julia Child

May 18, 2008 · WCC Administr@tr · 2 Comments

For dinner tonight, some friends and I gathered for a Julia Child Tribute dinner, aka “Chef Spotlight” dinners. These dinners are monthly events I host in honor of great chefs who have made significant contributions to the culinary field. To start these dinners off, I chose to highlight the works and efforts of Julia Child.

Everyone who attended brought in a dish that was a Julia Child recipe. It was an amazing meal with great discussion about Julia Child’s life, culinary perspective and her impact on our own lives as we remembered watching her cooking show. Afterwards, we played a trivia game, Foodie Fight, where the winner was awarded the book, Julie & Julia, as the prize. Overall it was a fabulous night! Here are pics of the event and I’ll be posting the recipes for the dishes shortly…

I’m totally jealous of Susan’s Galette skills. Mine never turn out that picture perfect!
