It was evident that readers of my blog love their housewares and I enjoyed reading all about your favorite kitchen items. The winning favorite item in most kitchens was the classic Kitchenaid Stand Mixer! It's no wonder considering how versatile it is for cooks and bakers. Whether its to whip up some delicious desserts, crank out ice cream, or even grind meat for homemade sausage, the stand mixer is quite the kitchen workhorse.
I also enjoyed reading other favorites including rice cookers, choppers, knives, food processor, even wooden spoons! Aside from what these specific items do, it was also great to read some of the stories behind them. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and stories with me! The comments received have even inspired me to add some of these favorite items to future Foodie Freebie Friday giveaways.
But we all know why you came to check out my blog today.... you're curious who this week's Foodie Freebie Friday winner is! This week's winner will have their choice of one of my many Crate & Barrel favorites...the Cafeware II Dinnerware Set or the Parker Mixing Bowl Set.

So who's getting a black & white box in the mail?...

My Kitchen Aid mixer! I unknowingly acquired it in a way I wasn't supposed to. I moved to a new area of the country and went into this one store several times over the course of about 5 months--to look around, to buy a vacuum, and to buy the mixer (on sale). Then I went in to look for something else and was stopped by an employee. I had no idea this was a members-only store! I'd been there half a dozen times and bought things maybe three times! I don't think she believed me when I told her this. She was extremely rude to me. I guess she thought I was trying to scam them. I left and looked up their membership rate online, and it's $5. You'd think she would have politely said, "Oh! It's only $5 and you obviously like our store, so why not join?" but no. She was so rude that I've never considered going back. That's my Kitchen Aid mixer story.

Congratulations, Knitopia! As soon as I saw that it was a membership store and it cost $5, I figured you must be in Oregon or Washington and knew you were talking about Bi-Mart. I am from Oregon and worked there for 3 years!
