Downtown Chicago Living!

April 4, 2009 · WCC Administr@tr · 17 Comments

Finally… I think I’m back in my cooking/baking groove now that we’ve been settled in and even entertained for the first time in our new place! We’ve been northsiders of the city for several years and we decided to move into downtown this past Wednesday, April 1st. For those that know me, it’s no surprise that I’d have everything in it’s place within a day after our move. Besides, I don’t want to waste any time in enjoying our new home as soon as possible!

Here are the much awaited pics of our new place in downtown Chicago… and if you ever happen to find yourself visiting our favorite city in the world, please let us know as we’d love to have you over!

And a couple of my favorite city views from our living room:

Wow, Joelen! It’s gorgeous! I love your decor and all! I have to say, though, if it was me living there, I would be sitting on the master bedroom window sill looking down at the city all day! 🙂

Oh WOW Joelen! It’s fabulous! I’m so happy for you. It that Lakeview? I think that’s where Sammy Sosa used to live 😉

    What fun!
If I ever win the lottery I want to get a small place in downtown Seattle so that we can go down for a night and not have to worry about the long drive home.

You’re a super-duper unpacker!!!! Geesh! I love how it looks like you’ve been living there for years already!!!!!!!!!! Love the bookshelf of cookbooks, and your new set-up for your entertainment dishes is calling you to be used! Congrats again, there will be many great dinners here!!

Oh, you have GOT to be kidding me!! An unobstructed view of Buckingham Fountain? And at the perfect time, when Daley needed to impress the IOC. Not many places to get a view like that…. knock me over with a feather. I need to become a chef.

We’ve been looking for a new place too, and have started looking at some townhomes in Lincoln Park.. I just can’t figure out how I can downsize from a 3 bedroom apartment in West Ridge to a two bedroom townhome in LP! But I can understand wanting to be in the midst of things.

I’m drooling just imagining the nighttime view. I don’t think I could ever leave my apartment, I would just be watching the city go by!!

Great new place and wonderful views! My husband and I lived in Hyde Park while he attended UofChicago. What we wouldn’t give to live in the Windy City again! Sigh . . .

    Amazing views!
I like to have my new places set up right away, too. We unpacked in record time in this new apartment.
We may be taking a vacation to Chicago later this year–if we do we should try to get together for a bite or something!
