Picnic & Fireworks

I love summers in Chicago. Despite the cool temperatures in June, it didn't stop us from enjoying opening night of the Grant Park Orchestra Concerts in the Park. Friends and I got together for a picnic where we brought some goodies to share. Here are some pics from our picnic and the concert we enjoyed...

Lots of people made it to opening night!

  1. That looks like so much fun! Me and my husband got engaged in Chicago and that night we ate at Riva on the Navy Pier and watched the fireworks so those hold a special place in my heart. Glad you guys had a great picnic!

  2. What fun! I can't wait to go to the GPMF this summer; I've managed to talk myself out of it the past two summers. I'll have to plan what to have for a picnic... and probably buy a picnic basket, too!
