Mediterranean Superbowl Spread!

For this year’s Superbowl, my brother and friends decided to throw an impromptu get together. Since I was in the suburbs for the weekend, I offered to come up with the menu and prepare it for the guys. I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to cook wherever I am! Rather than coming up with the usual ‘Game Day’ food, I figured a menu with an ethnic touch would be more interesting. We decided on Mediterranean fare and it was a perfect! Our menu consisted of…

Appetizers
we enjoyed during the first half of the game

Bacon Wrapped Datesdsc_2092-7038609
Spinach & Artichoke Hummusdsc_2087-5092091
Roasted Red Pepper & White Bean Dipdsc_2088-2805689

Dinner
we enjoyed during the Halftime Show

Mediterranean Chopped Saladdsc_2101-4533698
Herbed Chicken Kabobs
with Cucumber Sauce & Dill Cumin Ricedsc_2105-5754180
Baked Falafel
(unpictured)

Whole Wheat & White Pitas
(unpictured)

Dessert
we enjoyed during the last quarter of the game

Chocolate Baklavadsc_2113-4249525

Stay tuned to the recipes!
