Looking for a different kind of glaze for your turkey or even holiday ham this year? Get inspired with this recipe for Apricot Tequila Glazed Drumsticks! These drumsticks are brushed with a sweet and spicy mixture of apricot preserves, chile and a splash of tequila for a little kick. You can use the glaze for your Thanksgiving turkey or even ham if you wanted. Read on for the recipe…

This couldn’t be any simpler. Only 4 ingredients (not including salt and pepper to taste) is what’s needed for this dish. I really liked the sweet and spicy flavor since the spice wasn’t overwhelming and was surprisingly subtle. Feel free to substitute the drumsticks with chicken wings, drumettes, turkey or ham. I can’t wait to try this with chicken wings on future game days!

Apricot Tequila Glazed Drumsticks
recipe from Marcela Valladolid

4-6 chicken drumsticks
1 1/2 cups apricot preserves
2 tbs crushed chile de arbol
1/3 cup Sauza Tequila Blanco
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Combine apricot preserves, chile de arbol and tequila in medium pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Season drumsticks with salt and pepper on all sides and place on glass baking dish.

Brush apricot mixture on drumsticks and pour left over mixture all over chicken.

Roast for 60 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked and crispy.
