It’s been a busy start of the month for me. Work at the corporate pharmacy has been extremely busy, requiring me to work long longs and dealing without any work/life balance at the moment. It’s also impacted how much time I have to update this site with new, tasty things to share. But I’ve managed to squeeze in a few minutes to share this recipe for BBQ Chicken Flatbread. Tender, flavorful chicken tops a savory flatbread dough which is held together with a blend of cheeses, BBQ sauce, corn, red onion and a sprinkle of cilantro. It’s a bold combo of sweet and savory that is extremely easy to prepare!…
If you have little ones who love being in the kitchen, this is a great recipe to try out. First off, it’s similar to pizza, only easier to make! Using the Krusteaz Garlic and Onion Flatbread Mix, I prepared the flatbread as directed on the package and from there the fun begins. I used BBQ sauce in place of the traditional pizza sauce and topped it with a combination of mozzarella and Monterey Jack cheeses, grilled chicken, corn, and red onions. After it was finished baking, I garnished with some fresh chopped cilantro before serving.
Joel really got into making the dough, which was perfect for his little hands to work together. The Krusteaz flatbread mix has everything needed to make the dough and it only rises for a short period. By the time we gathered and prepped all our toppings, the dough was ready to roll out, flatten and top with our ingredients.
So if your family enjoys pizza/flatbread night, get them in the kitchen with you to help out! We love cooking together as a family and it makes it even more satisfying when we sit down to eat knowing we all had a part in making dinner…
This looks absolutely amazing! Looks like dinner! Love the ease of the flatbread mix. Great recipe, thank you.
