Caramel Cashew Cookie Bars

We're kicking off December baking in the kitchen! This year, I'm working my mixer on overdrive and have quite a few treats on a very long list to make for family and friends. I'm excited since friends are coming over to roll up our sleeves and get our bake on. Do you have any baking plans in store for the holidays? If you need some ideas, stay tuned as I have some cookie recipes to share. One in particular is this cookie - Caramel Cashew Cookie Bars. These cookies have a butter vanilla sugar cookie base that's studded with chopped cashews and swirled with a caramel sauce...

Holiday cookies and treats often times use popular nuts such as walnuts, almonds and pecans. I thought some cashews deserve some attention too and they came out wonderfully, especially with caramel in the mix.
