August 2018: Monthly Round Up!

Can you believe it's the end of August?! It's been a busy month at our house with the amount of activity from end of summer vacations, back to school preparations, transitioning back to school year schedules and the realization of time flying by. It seemed like school was the major focus this month so it was fitting to dedicate August as the 'Back to School' month. We kicked things off with a whole new facelift here on the site and even announced a winner of our special giveaway to celebrate! This past month we focused recipes perfect for school lunches, quick & easy way to get some vegetables in your diet, a make ahead meal for the busy weeknights, some new Instant Pot recipes to dinner on the table quickly. I also threw in some local food events happening and managed to squeeze in a little travel note to take advantage of seasonal produce.

So what's the WCChicago theme for September?! Leave a comment below with what you think it may be or what you'd like to see in the coming month. Be sure to check back on Monday, September 3rd to find out when the September theme will be!

If you missed any of the recipes or posts we shared this month, read on for our monthly round up...
